Founder

Arnau Porto, the Chief Investment Officer and founder of Greentrail Capital, heads a London-based investment firm with a global focus on publicly listed technology companies and pre-IPO opportunities.

Before establishing Greentrail, Arnau played a key role in co-founding and managing Blueport Capital, an investment partnership located in California and supported by the Robert Bass family office. 

Arnau's professional journey includes serving as an investment analyst at Viking Global in New York and beginning his career as an institutional investor at Blackstone in London. He has also contributed as a senior advisor for DTCP digital infrastructure investments in Europe.

Adding to his entrepreneurial ventures, Arnau co-founded Jaguar and LaHaus in Colombia and Mexico, as well as Portblue Hotels in Europe. 

Arnau's educational background includes a major in business administration and telecommunication engineering, and he furthered his academic pursuits by obtaining an MBA from Stanford.

Malcolm Geddes

Malcolm Geddes is a partner at Greentrail and has over 11 years of experience in private equity, investment banking and equity research. Prior to joining Greentrail in 2021, Malcolm was an independent equity analyst providing research to long/short hedge funds.

He previously worked as an investment professional focusing on private equity secondaries at Coller Capital and started off his career in the corporate finance team (European M&A) at Houlihan Lokey.

Malcolm has a BA (cum laude) in Physics - concentration in Business & Technology from the University of Pennsylvania with courses from the Wharton School and the School of Engineering & Applied Science.

Mark Carter is a partner and Chief Operating Officer at Greentrail. Mark has over 20 years of experience in the asset management industry and is responsible for managing operational, risk and compliance frameworks within the firm. Mark has an in-depth understanding of market, liquidity, regulatory, counterparty and operational risk management.

Prior to joining Greentrail Mark, was COO at Latitude Investment Management LLP. Previous roles also include Head of Operations and Risk Management at Vinci Zafferano (UK) LLP.

Mark holds a BSc (Hons) from the University of Greenwich London, the Securities Institute Administration Qualification (IAQ) and a Certificate in Investment Management (IMC).
